Delia Marinescu is a former journalist, with over 12 years of experience in the field. She worked as a reporter for Digi24, Libertatea, and Scena9, and has contributed to outlets such as DER SPIEGEL, The New York Times, VICE, and Al Jazeera Balkans. Her reporting spans a broad range of social issues, from social inequality to sexual abuse, human trafficking, and cults.

She is co-directing a feature documentary with filmmaker Oana Tenter, exploring how a community of Christian Romanian immigrants in the Arizona desert, shaped by memories of communism, has embraced far-right American patriotism. Produced by microFILM.

Delia is co-editing, with journalist Ana Maria Ciobanu, the memoir of Gilbert Costache, a story of his journey from Rahova to New York and his rise as a fashion model. The book will be published by NEMIRA.

She has been a trainer and editor for Roma S/Heroes - Bare Rroma, a project by Cu Alte Cuvinte NGO that provides young Roma with training to create non-fiction picture books inspired by real-life Roma role models.
